Professionally trained Command Service Officers provide assistance with the VAC disability claim process, always free of charge. Our role is mandated through legislation to provide representation at all levels of the disability claim process under the Pension Act or the Veterans Well-being Act. The Royal Canadian Legion provides counselling and representation services regarding disability claims or related issues with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) and the Veterans Review and Appeal Board (VRAB). In order to do this important work on behalf of Veterans and their families, the Legion requires access to confidential client information.
Learn more about Client Confidentiality
To authorize access to confidential client information, the Veteran or their designate will be required to complete and submit a Royal Canadian Legion Claim Application Form, with one piece of proof of identity. A Command Service Officer can assist with this form.
