Randy Hayley

National Executive Director

Randy Hayley oversees operations at the Legion’s National Headquarters and coordinates several Dominion Command committees. He is also the Executive Director of the Legion National Foundation and sits as a Director on the Canvet Publications Board. He is an Associate member of Legion House Branch 13-013.

• Joined the National Headquarters in 2015 within Member Services, where he led the modernization of Legion membership and oversaw its renewed growth.
• In 2023, became the Legion’s Director of Corporate Services and Strategic Planning, the strategic end of the role being the organization’s first.
• Joined the Legion after a 25-year career with a national newspaper company where he held many senior roles and responsibilities at the local, regional, and national levels.
• Has a history of strategic change management with experience in start-up operations and business transformations including delivering logistic services and national customer service centres. 
• Served on numerous national committees including as the Director of Training for the Canadian Circulation Management Association and as a National Advisor on a Canadian newspaper auditing committee.
• Born and raised in Ottawa, is a graduate of Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
• A sports enthusiast, and a long-time basketball coach for a local community club, continues to stay actively involved in basketball, golf, and family interests.
• Randy and his wife Heidi have two daughters, Brianna and Mackenzie, who are graduates of Carleton University and Ottawa University, respectively.
