Bill Chafe

Dominion Chair

Bill Chafe has been an active member of Branch #62 in Sarnia, Ontario, since 1978. He has served in various positions at the Branch, Zone, District and Provincial Command levels over the years.

• Elected Dominion Chair in 2016.
• Served in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves for seven years, with the First Hussars.
• Member of the First Hussars Association.
• Awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in 2010, and Palm Leaf in 2016.
• Awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee medal in 2002.
• Awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal in 2012.
• Has worked in the Maintenance and Turnaround field of the petro-chemical refinery business for over four decades.
• Currently works with CIMS Limited Partnership as a Senior Planner.
• Educational experience includes a certificate from Sarnia Collegiate Institute and Technical School, Ontario Industrial Mechanic certification, and various college courses relating to his profession.
• Enjoys sports, travel, occasional golf and quiet time outdoors. With wife Laurie, has two children and seven grandchildren.
