Brian Weaver

Dominion Vice-President

Brian Weaver is the Chair of the Dominion Command Sports Committee and a member of other operational committees. He is the immediate past president of the Legion’s Ontario Command. He is also a Director on the Board that governs Canvet Publications, which produces Legion Magazine.

Brian first joined the Captain Brien Branch #201 in Essex, Ontario in May of 1973 where he served in Executive, President, Zone Commander, District Commander and Chair roles.

• First elected as Vice President of Ontario Command in 2009, as 1st Vice President in 2013, and as President in 2015.
• Over the years at Ontario Command, served in numerous positions including Provincial Poppy Chair, Provincial Property Chair, and Vice President and member of many committees such as Sports, Youth Education, Honors and Awards, Public Relations, Veterans Services, and the Homeless Veterans Program, among others.
• Past Chair of the Ontario Command Resolutions Committee and Ontario Command Cadet Liaison Officer.
• Received the Life Membership Award in 1995.
• Awarded the Meritorious Service Medal by member Branch in 2014.
• Awarded the Palm Leaf by Zone A-2 in 2019.
• Educational background includes time at the West Ontario Institute of Technology and University training.
• Retired from the Daimler Chrysler Corporation in 2003 after 34 ½ years
• Enjoys golf, darts, and spending time with wife Debbie Gill, four children and five grandchildren.
