The Legion National Youth Track and Field Championships have been cancelled for the second year in a row, due to the pandemic. The 2021 event was originally scheduled to take place in Sherbrooke, Quebec from August 6-8.

Three quarters of The Royal Canadian Legion’s 1380 Branches have now received close to three quarters of the support dollars available through a federal aid package. The Veterans Organization Emergency Support Fund (VOESF) announced last November provided a total of $14 million in assistance for Legion Branches in need of help.

Over half of The Royal Canadian Legion’s 1380 Branches received close to half the support dollars available for transfer from a federal aid package today. In total, just over $7.2 million dollars distributed by the Legion’s National Headquarters went to 701 Branches who recently applied for financial assistance provided through Veterans Affairs Canada.
