This year, the Legion is proud to present “Poppy Stories”, a brand-new initiative that allows people to scan a lapel Poppy with a smartphone and be introduced to a fallen soldier with a story to remember.
Not only does each Veteran's story recognize their sacrifice, but it also honours their life. The short stories expand upon where and how soldiers grew up in Canada, their family history, pre-war careers, and even some of their passions. Through the experience, we hope to give many Canadians a special Veteran’s name to remember this year.
