Congratulations to Erin Quinn from Charlottetown, PEI for winning the Royal Canadian Legion’s January Poppy Store VIA Rail Contest!
Congratulations to Erin Quinn from Charlottetown, PEI for winning the Royal Canadian Legion’s January Poppy Store VIA Rail Contest! Erin’s purchase through the Poppy Store (poppystore.ca) not only entered her for a chance to win, but proceeds from all purchases support Legion programs for Veterans.
Erin joined Legion Branch 1 in Charlottetown on November 10, 2017, proudly following in the footsteps of her late Grandfather, F. Pius Smith who was a Past President of Branch 1. “I have many friends who have served, and continue to serve, and I know how much the Legion has done for Veterans and its members as a whole.”
Erin discovered the Poppy Store while browsing Legion.ca and learned that proceeds from all sales provide funding for the important work done through the Legion. Purchasing from the Store and entering the contest was one way she could help support Veterans. “My experience with the Poppy Store was great and I was extremely pleased with my purchases! I have recommended people to the Poppy Store, especially for great memorabilia, and gifts for loved ones.”
For Erin, winning the VIA Rail tickets was a wonderful surprise. “Being a new member to the Legion, it seems as though my Grandfather was looking out for me and wanted me to know that he was proud of my decision to finally join.”
Erin is looking forward to getting involved with her local Branch and helping make a difference for Veterans and their families. “I truly want to thank all of the wonderful volunteers that work tirelessly to help support the many Legions across Canada. I am proud to be part of such a wonderful group of people.”
Erin, we wish you a wonderful trip aboard VIA Rail, and we are grateful for your support!
