OTTAWA, ON, September 8th , 2015 – For the past four years, The Royal Canadian Legion has been asking Canadians to Remember and help build a “Virtual Wall of Honour and Remembrance” by sending in their photos to Dominion Command.
In all, more than 1,800 photos have been submitted to the Legion to be featured in its virtual wall which will be displayed during the National Remembrance Day Ceremony in downtown Ottawa as well as on the Legion website after the ceremony.
In order to process all of these photos that have been amassed over the past year and have the virtual wall ready for the Remembrance Day Ceremony, we ask that submissions be received by 30 October.
The photos submitted should include the name of the deceased, years of service, element or force to which the departed belonged or regiment/unit.
Relatives or friends of a beloved Veteran may make this memorial tribute by sending photos, either a high resolution digital image or a hard copy, to Dominion Command, 86 Aird Place, Ottawa, ON, K2L 0A1 (no originals please as they cannot be returned) or electronically to rememberingthem@legion.ca or aleurmemoire@legion.ca.
