The Royal Canadian Legion and Athletics Canada are proud to announce that the Legion National Athletics Championships now serve as the host event of the Canadian Youth Track & Field Championships.
The Legion Canadian Youth Athletic Championships now combine the Legion U15 and U17 programs with an open Youth Canadian Track & Field Champion-ships. Provincial commands will still send teams to compete in the U15 and U17 categories, but eligible additional athletes may compete in the U17 category.
Technical information and registration packages for The Legion Canadian Youth Athletic Championships will be available by the end of April. Registration for the Championships will begin in May.

This years event will be held at The University of Sherbrooke in Sherbrooke, QC between August 6 and 12. Over 300 athletes from all provinces and territories will be participating in this years competition. These participants will also have the opportunity to take part in training clinics run by Athletics Canada.
This event is nationally sanctioned by Athletics Canada and many Canadian track and field stars who have participated in the Legion program have gone on to world and Olympic glory. Approximately 80% of Canada's national track and field team have participated in the Legion program.
