Command service officers congregated in Charlottetown Nov. 1-3 for the biennial Professional Development and Training Session at Veterans Affairs Canada’s headquarters.

This professional development session included a one-day training event with the Client Service Delivery Network. The network is a database that can generate reports on all actions taken to process a client’s claim.

Command service officers also benefited from a thorough review of the new Table of Disabilities and were exposed to the various programs of the New Veterans Charter which came into effect last April.

VAC also provided all participants with an updated copy of the RCL Service Officer Reference Manual. VAC subject matter experts were in attendance to partake in a meaningful professional exchange with Legion command service officers. Feedback from participating command service officers was very positive.
