HALIFAX – Accredited delegates representing the 330,000 members of The Royal Canadian Legion voted on 92 resolutions at their 44th Legion Dominion Convention held in Halifax between 10 and 13 June. The passed resolutions gave Dominion Command its direction for the next two years. The Dominion Convention is the Legion’s ruling body and meets every two years.
The care and protection of all of Canada’s veterans led the way with 32 resolutions passed. The resolution process is the way the Legion conducts its business. Resolutions that pertain to an outside agency will be sent to them for action.
